[YOUR FIRM STORY: when and why the firm was founded, who it serves and what it does.]
Iran
Few places on earth carry as much memory as Iran. Around 550 BC, Cyrus the Great founded the Achaemenid Empire, one of the first great states to bring many peoples, languages and faiths under one roof. Persepolis still stands in the heart of Fars as proof. Other dynasties rose and fell after it, Sasanian, Islamic and Safavid among them, and each time the same quiet thing happened: Iran took in what arrived and made it Iranian.
The Persian language survived because poets carried it. Ferdowsi gave it the Shahnameh. Saadi gave it wisdom and kindness, and Hafez gave it longing. Through all of it, the language outlived the empires.
You can read the country in its places: the turquoise tilework of Naqsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan, the windcatchers of Yazd that cool houses without electricity, the rose-coloured light inside the Nasir al-Mulk Mosque in Shiraz, the silence of the Lut Desert. Twenty-nine sites are on UNESCO's World Heritage list, and many more are not.
But we do not write about Iran to look backwards. Today it is a country of about ninety-two million people, with a young and largely urban population, universities that train engineers and technicians, and some of the largest reserves of oil and gas anywhere. It sits where Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Gulf and the Indian Ocean meet, the same crossroads that once made it the heart of the Silk Road.
We will not pretend it is simple. Doing business in Iran takes patience, local knowledge and a clear view of the risks. That is exactly why we exist.
For the investor looking in from outside, we hope to be a window. For Iranians abroad who carry this country in their hearts and think about coming home, we hope to be a bridge. A country that has outlived so many empires has never lacked potential. What it needs are people who will meet it with respect, curiosity and a long view.
